i just realised that bus no. 13 now goes to all the schools i ever attended here. nice fact, but of course, it's sort of cheating coz rj moved to beside ri, but still. talk about change and continuity. when i was schooling in ri, there was this urinal that leaks, meaning that when you piss it ends up directly at your feet. which of course also means that you might as well piss directly on the floor. well well, i was back at said toilet today, and boy, it doesn't leak anymore. okay, that was the change part of my change and continuity rant. and is ri undergoing a major change. it resembles a construction site at the moment, with the only part with any life in it (or rather, on it) the astroturf. our beloved astroturf. built for dunno which sport (hockey or something, not important one..) but used for a million and one others. summary of the matter: i adore this institution that is raffles. it was like where i moulded my early schooling life. not too badly i'd say. but with all the changes going on currently, i don't know where we are headed man, raffles masterplan sounds so commercialised. i don't like commercialised to mix with education. hmm. now, continuity. nothing much lah, was walking from ri to rjc (as the astro was bursting full) saw the head of gep at some point during our time, mr lam, talking with the other dude, mr edward something, at one of those bench tables. in short, i have much respect for these teachers, working so long in one place, and still keeping the passion there. requires something special for the organisation i think. against the backdrop of the construction, it was like they discussing the future direction of our great school. okay, or they could have been discussing the ant running across the table at that moment for all we know.
went for my last baptism class today. christmas eve baptism for me. yay. well, some people might feel that religion may not be all that relevant in this day and age, but i still feel some part faith is essential in life. surely we've all been blessed in some way at some point in our life before, and i'm sure that blessing came from somewhere? it's not like we could buy it on ebay or something.
confucius says, man who runs in front of car gets tired.
man who runs behind car gets exhausted.
i'm tired. what a loooong and boring post. yawn. ouch, mouth still hurts from that fateful wisdom teeth extraction. i should stop talking now, lest the pain gets worse.
